John is a second cat road racer and time trialist from the Midlands.
John only came to competitive cycling in 2016 after starting cycling to lose some weight in 2015 (where he lost four stone!!).
John started off by riding with a few mates on a Sunday morning where one of them who’d raced for many years felt John had potential and encouraged him to race and time trial. John soon realised he had a talent for cycling, he progressed quickly and won the fifth road race he’d ever ridden in on a tough hilly course In Bridgnorth.
He then purchased a time trial bike and began riding local club tt events where he won numerous events and even began taking local course records.
John is now more focussed towards time trialling however he still takes part in a few road races through the season.
